I have spent many years cruising the inland waterways and during the winter months collecting fallen trees to use as firewood on my wood burner.
A few years ago I decided that it was a real waste of resources to do this
and started making the odd piece of furniture instead.
I started off using an Alaskan saw mill to 'plank' a log just to see what
the result would be.
My first attempt was a combination TV stand with log store under, soon to be
followed by a bar stool to replace one that had reached the end of it's useful life.
